Rocky Xiong – Assistant Volleyball Coach, RCTC
Now in his third season as an assistant coach at Rochester Community and Technical College, Rocky brings over a decade of coaching experience to the Yellowjackets volleyball program. His coaching philosophy focuses on player development, discipline, and building a strong team culture both on and off the court.
Before joining RCTC, Rocky was the varsity assistant coach at Cannon Falls High School, where he helped guide the team to its first-ever state tournament appearance in his first season, followed by a state championship victory in his second year — a historic run for the program.
In addition to his role at RCTC, Rocky is the founder and head coach of MN Rockies Volleyball, a club program he built from the ground up to provide quality training and competitive opportunities for athletes across the region. Through MN Rockies, he’s helped develop multiple players who have gone on to compete at the collegiate level.
Known for his energy, communication, and technical expertise, Rocky plays a key role at RCTC in training sessions, match strategy, and supporting student-athlete success academically and athletically.
When he's not in the gym, Rocky enjoys supporting local volleyball programs, watching game film, and spending time with family.
