at DCTC - The RCTC Yellowjackets made quick work of DCTC in their non-conference match-up on Monday night, winning 3-0 (25-11, 25-11, 25-16).  The Jackets were lead by Lily Holtan with 14 kills and a .423 hitting percentage.  As a team RCTC hit a fantastic .393, with only 9 total hitting errors in the match.

Joining Holtan with big offensive nights were Natalie LaBonte (7-2-12, .417), Morgan Hansen (6-1-11, .455), and Abby Evans (6-1-12, .417).  Kylie Minnich had 5 kills with no hitting errors as well.  Setter Carmen Nerison directed the Jacket offense with 32 assists in the match.  RCTC added 6 service aces, 4 of them coming from Nerison, to keep the DCTC offense out of system.

Defensively the Jackets got 8 blocks from LaBonte and 3 from Holtan.  Jatda Bednarek had 9 digs, while Minnich had 6.  Ava Jacobsen and Holtan had 5 digs each.

The Jackets now gear up for a southern division showdown with national implications, as they take on MN West at home on Friday night.  The Jackets are currently ranked #12 in the nation, while the Lady Jays are #2.  The two teams played a five set thriller just over a week ago with MN West holding serve on their home court.  First serve is set for 6:30 on Friday.
