#5 RCTC completes undefeated dual season with 23-18 win over #10 NIACC

Mason City, Iowa - The RCTC Yellowjacekts completed a 5-0 run through their dual season and kept coach Travis Rutt undefeated in his coaching career with a 23-18 win over #10 Ranked NIACC.  The Jackets, who are currently ranked #5 in the latest NJCAA poll won 5 of their 10 matches on the day, but won the dual thanks to falls by Brandon Kidd and Noah Broderson.

In addition to Kidd and Broderson's wins, the Jackets got wins from Parker Dobrocky, Willie VonRuden, and Sage Loredo Hollon.

At 133 Dobrocky earned a major decision ov Connor Weimann, 18-9.

At 149 Kidd pinned Brody Hawtry at 1:34.

At 157 VonRuden had a major decision of NIACC's Josh Baretta 15-7.

At 174 Loredo-Hollon downed Curtis Brock 4-2.

At 285 Brodeson pinned Troy Monahan III at 1:02.

The Jackets are now back training as they prepare for the National Championships on April 21st and 22nd.  The Jackets currently have four wrestlers ranked in the top 8 nationally:

Parker Dobrocky #3 at 133 pounds

Brandon Kidd Jr #8 at 149

Seth Brossard #2 at 165

Gavin Christofferson #1 at 184
