Rochester, MN - April 22, 2026 - RCTC's National Champion Women's Basketball Coach Jason Bonde announced today he is stepping down as head coach.  Bonde, who has been at the helm of the Yellowjacket program since 2019, won National Titles with the ‘Jackets in the 2023 and 2025 seasons.

Coach Bonde amassed an overall record of 112-17 and a conference mark of 55-3.  In addition to the two National Titles, Bonde lead the ‘Jackets to a Runner-up finish in 2024, and a 3rd place trophy in 2022.  Coach Bonde was named NJCAA DIII National Coach of the Year in 2023 and 2025.

"We thank Coach Jason Bonde for his dedication, leadership, and contributions to our student-athletes and our program,” RCTC Director of Athletics Mike Lester stated. “Jason’s commitment to the college and to the development of his players on and off the court has been appreciated. We wish him and his family all the best as he takes on his next challenge in the coaching world.  We are excited not to be losing Coach all together, as he will still have a direct impact on students and student-athletes with his continuing work as Director of RCTC's TRIO program."

Coach Bonde coached seven All-Americans during his time with the Jackets, including 2024-25 National Player-of-the-Year Macaya Copeland.

A search for Coach Bonde's replacement will begin immediately.
