Yellowjackets Complete Sunday Sweep with Offensive Firepower

Rochester Community and Technical College put together an impressive all‑around performance on Sunday afternoon, sweeping Anoka‑Ramsey Community College in a two‑game NJCAA doubleheader on April 19, 2026. Behind timely hitting, extra‑base power, and steady pitching in both contests, the Yellowjackets earned wins of 12–5 in Game 1 and 20–1 in Game 2.

Game 1: RCTC 12, Anoka‑Ramsey 5

The opener was competitive early, as Anoka‑Ramsey jumped out to a 1–0 lead in the first inning and built a 3–0 advantage through two frames. RCTC answered in the bottom of the third, igniting its offense with a three‑run inning to even the score. From there, the Yellowjackets seized momentum for good, scoring five runs in the fourth and adding insurance runs in the fifth and sixth.

RCTC collected 14 hits in the opener, with production spread throughout the lineup. Cason Forbrook delivered a big day in the middle of the order, driving in four runs, including a key bases‑clearing triple that broke the game open. Gigi Lundi crossed the plate three times, while Ella Bergan added two hits and two RBI. Michaela Cauffman continued her strong day at the plate with three hits, an RBI, and extra‑base power.

In the circle, Zoey Clark earned the win in relief, tossing four shutout innings while allowing just four hits and striking out five. Her effort stabilized the game after a tough opening stint and allowed the Yellowjackets' offense to pull away.

Game 2: RCTC 20, Anoka‑Ramsey 1

The nightcap was all Rochester from the opening pitch. RCTC scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back, piling on runs in every frame en route to a 20‑run outburst on 19 hits.

Zoey Clark delivered one of the standout performances of the day, going 3‑for‑3 with five RBI, including a triple and a home run. Cason Forbrook somehow topped her own earlier success, finishing 4‑for‑4 with six RBI to pace another explosive offensive showing. Gigi Lundi was a perfect 4‑for‑4, scoring three times and driving in two runs, while Ivette Mendoza chipped in three hits and two RBI.

In the pitching department, Amelie Dohlman set the tone with 3.2 strong innings, allowing just one unearned run. Clark closed the game efficiently, retiring all four batters she faced to seal the run‑rule victory.

Overall Takeaway

The doubleheader sweep showcased the Yellowjackets' depth, balance, and momentum as they combined for 32 runs, 33 hits, and strong pitching across both games. With contributions from up and down the lineup and solid work in the circle, RCTC left little doubt on Sunday, as they gear up for the final stretch of conference games.
