Yellowjacket offense in high gear, downing St. Cloud 3-0 in region semifinal

Rochester, MN - Directed by First Team All Southern Division Setter Brekkin McCready the RCTC Yellowjacket offense was in high gear in the semifinals of the Region XIIIA volleyball tournament.  The Jackets, lead by McCready, hit a stellar .320 for the match with 33 kills against only 9 hitting errors.

McCready who earlier in the week was named first team all division, had 33 assists (as well as 3 kills of her own) on the night.  Benefitting from McCready's direction was Division player of the Year Carrie Rutledge who lead the Yellowjackets with 10 kills and hit .400.  Hailey Bahr had 7 kills (.286), and Kaelyn Marzoff had 6 kills (.500).

Defensively RCTC was lead by Rutledge and Heidi Wulf each with 8 digs.  Katlyn Bade contributed 7 digs and 4 service aces.

The Yellowjackets now wait for the winner of tonight's second match between Ridgewater College and Minnsota State - Fergus Falls.  The title match, with a berth in the NJCAA National Tournament is scheduled for noon on Saturday.  Ridgewater, and MN State have played twice this year, splitting the two matches with each match going the maximum five (5) sets.
