Rochester, MN - The RCTC women's soccer team started the season 4-0 and only gave up one goal over the course of the four wins. Unfortunately for the Yellowjackets Viterbo University (NAIA) put an end to the win streak.
The V-Hawks took a 1-0 lead into halftime before erupting for 3 unanswered goals in the second half to down the Jackets 4-0. RCTC goalkeeper, and reigning NJCAA goalkeeper of the week, faced 20 Viterbo shots, stopping 16 of them on the night. RCTC had a couple of quality scoring chances late in the second half but just couldn't find the net.
RCTC is not back in action until next Wednesday, September 11th. The Jackets host Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) at 6:00pm at the Rochester Regional Stadium. RCTC and DCTC met in the season opener with the Jackets winning 3-0 on a hat trick by Mae Litschauer.
