Anoka, MN - On a night where the weather was the real story, the RCTC Yellowjackets fell to league leading Anoka-Ramsey by the score of 4-0. With temperatures in the low 50's and a steady mist of rain, the Yellowjackets just could not find the back of the net early in the game, and Anoka took advantage. Anoka had 24 shots on the night, with 13 of them on goal, whereas the Jackets only put two shots on frame in the contest. The two teams were tied until the 25th minute when Lauren Ives scored to give Anoka the lead. The Rams struck again at the 41st minute on a goal by Sunasia Pargo.
Ives, then gave Anoka a 3-0 lead early in the second half, scoring in the 47th minute, before Lauren Baurr sealed the game in the 72nd minute.
RCTC goalkeeper Fatima Sanchez-Hernandez had 9 saves on the night.
The Yellowjackets are back on their home field looking to get their game back in order this Friday night at 6:30pm. RCTC will take on Dakota County Technical College in a game that was postponed from September 11th. RCTC downed DCTC 3-0 on the road in the season opener for both squads. The Jackets are 6-4-1 on the season while DCTC is 2-8.
