RCTC win streak comes to an end against league leading Western Tech

Rochester, MN - The RCTC Yelloyjacket women's basketball team came into today's game against league leading Western Tech riding a season high five game win streak.  The Jackets hoped to make it six, but WTC had other ideas as they got off to a 30-16 lead after quarter number one and never looked back.

The Yellowjackets held their own oin the final 3 quarters, holding WTC to 46 points while pouring in 42.  The Yellowjackets got a big game from Alyssa Whitson who had a team high 16 points and 9 rebounds.  Lexie Worden added 11 points, while Grace Riley and Olivia Matti had 10 and 9 repectively.

RCTC had no answer for WTC's Kerrigan Lyga who poured in 20 points on 8 of 10 shooting.  RCTC was outrebounded 49-32 and WTC had 26 points off of 20 RCTC turnovers.

The Yellowjackets are back on their home floor Wednesday when they host the Golden Rams of Anoka Ramsey. Tip-off is set for 5:30pm at the Sports Center.
