Jackets fall to league leader St. Cloud 80-63

Rochester, MN - The RCTC Yellowjackets men's basketball team took on league leading St. Cloud Technical and COmmunity College on Wednesday night.  For more than a half the Yellowjackets more than held their own against the high-powered Cyclones.  RCTC lead by six at the half (38-32), were tied with 8:07 remaining, and trailed by only three with 6:30 to go.  Unfortunately for the Jackets, the Cyclones outscored RCTC 10 - 2 over a two minute stretch to take charge and earn the 80-63 win.

RCTC's 19 turnovers proved critical down the stretch, as the Cyclones scored 29 p0ints off of those turnovers.  RCTC shot 41% from the floor and 25% from three compared to SCTCC's 42% and 27%.  The Cyclones only had 7 turnovers in the game. 

Leading the way for the Jackets were Ray Adams with 13 points and Jerome Cunningham with 9 points off the bench.  Kong Kong had 8 points to go along with a game high 14 rebounds.  The Yellowjackets are back on their home court on Wednesday night.  RCTC (12-5) will face Anoka-Ramsey (8-8)  at 7:00pm on the performance court.
