Rochester, MN - The RCTC Yellowjacket offense failed to get in gear yesterday versus a stout Dakota College - Bottineau defense. The Jackets were held off the scoreboard in a 16-0 defeat at the Rochester Regional Stadium.
RCTC falls to 0-2 on the season while Dakota-Bottineau moves to 1-1 on the season. RCTC managed 246 yards of total offense compared to 355 yards for DCB. The Yellowjacket defense was solid throughout the game until the late stages of the fourth quarter. RCTC was down 3-0 after 1 and then 9- 0 at the half before giving up a late fourth quarter touchdown to set the final score.
RCTC had big games from running backs Cazz Martin and Greg Henry as both ended the contest with over 100 all-purpose yards. RCTC linebacker Larry Lecount accounted for 12 tackles including 3 tackles for loss. Khalan Coleman had the Yellowjackets lone sack.
RCTC hiys the road for the first time this season heading to FonDuLac to take on the 2-0 Thunder. FonduLac is coming of an upset win over defending league champion Northland College last weekend.
