Six standout Minnesota College Athletic Conference football players were recognized as All-Americans by the National Junior College Ath-letic Association on Thursday, December 15th.
Earning First-Team Honors from Central Lakes College was 6’ 4”, Offensive Lineman, Emmanuel Henry. Henry was an integral part of a CLC squad which concluded the regular season unbeaten and participated in the first annual Red Grange Bowl hosted by the College of DuPage. Henry’s teammate, Cody Rau, a 5’8” freshman tight end was selected to the NJCAA Second Team Offense.
An additional MCAC selection to the Second Team was freshman Carlis Richardson, from Vermilion Community College . Richardson, who lined up as a receiver and special teams athlete, earned his recognition as a NJCAA Second-Team return specialist.
The Honorable Mention category included three MCAC standouts; on defense Brandon Perce, a linebacker from Rochester Technical & Com-munity College, who helped his team earn an invitation to Graphic Edge Bowl and Jaquon Cogshell, a defensive back from Ridgewater Col-lege. Both Perce and Cogshell were sophomore standouts for RCTC and Ridgewater, respectively. Also named was Jacob Clair from Dakota College at Bottineau, Clair, a 6’ 3” wide receiver, who was a sophomore for the Lumberjacks.
